Personal Formulation

Formulated around you.

Your skin, environment, routine and physical demands are individual.

Your formulation can be too.

Skin Patrol Personal Formulation begins with a structured assessment of your needs, sensitivities, preferences and intended use.

From there, a formulation is developed specifically for you — drawing on experience, ingredient knowledge and applied practice.

Start with why.

Dryness. Sensitivity. Changes in texture. Environmental exposure. The demands of an active life.

What you see on the skin is only part of the picture.

Before choosing ingredients, we look at the circumstances surrounding your skin — your routine, environment, physical demands, sensitivities, preferences and how you intend to use the formulation.

Because an ingredient isn't valuable simply because it has a good reputation. It needs a reason to be there.

Formulation with purpose

Carrier oils and essential oils are selected for their individual characteristics and for how they work together within the complete formulation.

Concentration, application, compatibility, sensitivity, sun exposure and the practical realities of daily use all influence what belongs in your blend — and what doesn't.

The result is not a collection of fashionable ingredients.

It's a formulation built around you.

Understanding your skin

Personal formulation begins with information.

Your assessment helps us build a clearer picture of your skin, your everyday environment and what you're asking the formulation to support.

We may ask about:

  • Your primary skin concerns and what you've noticed changing

  • Your current skincare routine and products

  • Sensitivities, allergies and previous reactions

  • Lifestyle, physical activity and environmental exposure

  • Hydration, nutrition and other everyday factors that may be relevant

  • Sun exposure and when and where the formulation will be used

  • Texture, fragrance and application preferences

  • What you would genuinely like the formulation to achieve

Where useful, you'll also be invited to provide photographs of the area you'd like us to consider.

The details matter

Sometimes a small piece of information changes the direction of an entire formulation.

Something appropriate for evening use may not be appropriate before spending a day outdoors. An ingredient well suited to one person's skin may be unnecessary—or unsuitable—for another.

That's why we ask before we formulate.

The better we understand the context, the more considered the formulation can be.

From assessment to formulation

Once your assessment is received, the review process begins.

Your information is reviewed as a whole — not simply as a list of individual concerns.

From there, suitable carrier oils, essential oils and supporting ingredients are considered for their individual qualities and for the role they can play within the formulation as a whole.

Building the formulation

Each ingredient earns its place.

The formulation is developed with attention to concentration, balance, compatibility, intended application and the practical way you will use it.

Sometimes that means bringing several complementary ingredients together. Sometimes it means keeping the formulation deliberately simple.

The aim is not to include more.

It is to include what makes sense for you.

Made for you

Once developed, your formulation is prepared specifically for you and supplied with guidance for its intended use.

This is where assessment becomes something tangible: a considered formulation, created from the information you've provided and the purpose we've identified together.
